RPG Class Quiz

Warrior

Hefting a big weapon, you cut a path straight ahead with nothing but your own strength.

Step up frontMove with your bodyOn your own

The warrior is the class that fights up front with a sword, an axe or another weapon. Relying on a trained body and raw strength rather than spells or tricks, it's said to be one of the most straightforward classes in RPGs, and in many games it stands at the front of the party.

When in doubt, you tend to get your hands moving and try to settle things with your own strength. Rather than talking it over and keeping in step with others, you often feel it's quicker to charge in first and open the way yourself.

Because warriors take on enemies alone, their defense can be thin. You, too, may charge in on momentum and only then realize you hadn't thought about the way back. Get in the habit of looking back just one step before you go forward, and your strength will count for even more.

Strengths

  • You can get things moving by starting before you overthink
  • Even on your own, you can push forward without flinching
  • You can see a physically demanding job through to the end without giving up

Where you may stumble

  • You start on momentum, then realize partway through that you're short on tools or steps
  • Even when asking someone would be quicker, you try to handle it with your own strength
  • When things are being decided by discussion, the waiting feels frustrating

Sounds familiar, Warrior?

Where you shine

When something has stalled and just needs to get moving. With someone diving in first on their own, the doubts around them tend to clear.

Easy together

Dancer — The Dancer lifts the party's spirits from the back. Even a Warrior who tends to charge ahead alone finds themselves glancing back at the group when the Dancer's lively cheering is behind them.

Easy together

Ranger — The Ranger is another body-first type who likes to move alone. The Warrior works from the front, the Ranger from far behind, each at their own distance, so you can join forces without getting in each other's way.

May clash

Cleric — The Cleric wants to check on everyone before the whole group sets off. To the Warrior, the pre-departure checks feel long; to the Cleric, the sight of the Warrior running off before checking is a worry.

Close neighbors

These differ from this one on just 1 of the 3 axes. If one of your axes was near the middle, you may have their side too.
