Vehicle Quiz
Ferris Wheel
Carrying just a few people, you slowly go around the same circle and come back to where you started.
A Ferris wheel hangs cars from a big wheel and turns slowly, letting riders enjoy the view from up high. A huge one built for the 1893 world's fair in Chicago caused a sensation, and the ride is named after its designer, George Ferris.
Many Ferris wheels take around 10 to 20 minutes for one turn, slowly going around the same circle and returning to where you got on. Each car holds just a few people. That's your way too: moving slowly along a set path with a few people you're close to, savoring the time itself.
Most Ferris wheels let people get on and off while they keep turning, without stopping. You can welcome people without stopping the usual flow, but because you go around the same circle, it can be hard to commit to plans to go somewhere far away. Now and then, go and see that distant view you spotted from the top.
Strengths
- You can savor the same slow time with people you're close to
- You can welcome people in without disrupting the usual flow
- You can repeat the same thing with the same care every time
Where you may stumble
- When someone invites you somewhere far away, you can't answer right away
- Even when someone needs you to hurry, it's hard to change your usual pace
- At big gatherings, it ends without you getting a chance to talk properly
Sounds familiar, Ferris Wheel?
- You never get tired of a road you like, however many times you take it
- With people you're close to, you end up talking for hours in the same spot every time
- When you get up somewhere high, the first thing you look for is the direction of your home
Where you shine
Slow time with a few people you're close to, or work you repeat the same way every time. You go carefully around the same circle, so calm time tends to follow.

- Now and then, invite one new person into your time with people you're close to

Streetcar — The Streetcar picks people up and drops them off all over town. For a Ferris Wheel slowly carrying a few people around, it brings connections to townspeople you'd never meet on your own.
Canoe — The Canoe also carries a few people and moves slowly. For a Ferris Wheel going around the same circle, the Canoe, paddling off wherever it likes, shows the view outside the usual circle.
Airplane — The Ferris Wheel slowly goes around the same circle with a few people, while the Airplane carries a crowd far away fast, choosing its route as it goes. Both show you the view from up high, but they get there at completely different speeds, so together you tend to split into one side that wants to take it slow and one that wants to press on.
