Dinosaur Quiz
Velociraptor
Like a small, nimble Velociraptor on the run, you go straight for your goal and get it done fast.
Velociraptor was a meat-eating dinosaur that lived in what is now Mongolia during the Late Cretaceous. Movies have shown it as tall as a person, but it's thought to have been only about 2 meters (6.5 feet) long including its tail, and to have weighed about as much as a large turkey. Its name means “swift thief.”
On the second toe of each hind foot was a large, hooked claw. A fossil has even been found of one locked in a struggle with a dinosaur called Protoceratops. Small and light like a Velociraptor, you head straight for your goal without hesitating and deal with it quickly.
Marks where feathers were anchored have been found on its arm bones, so it's thought to have had feathers. Still, it had no big ornaments like horns or a sail; it moved with nothing but itself. Because you get started right away, you sometimes finish things on your own before anyone notices. A quick word before you begin gives people who want to help a chance to join in.
Strengths
- You can get started on a request on the spot
- You're nimble and can move quickly when plans suddenly change
- You get your point across directly, in plain words
Where you may stumble
- You finish things alone first, and the people who meant to help have nothing left to do
- Putting speed first, you don't get around to making the result look nice
- Time with nothing in particular to do leaves you at a loose end
Sounds familiar, Velociraptor?
- Everything you carry fits in your pockets and one small bag
- You open the microwave a few seconds before it beeps
- You slip through automatic doors before they've finished opening
Where you shine
When sudden errands or jobs that need doing quickly pile up. Your light, quick moves tend to get stalled things going again.
Tips for “Velociraptor”

- When you're done, tidy up one thing about how it looks as a finishing touch

Tyrannosaurus — Tyrannosaurus is also unadorned and sets clear targets. With a big partner who takes its time and holds steady, nimble Velociraptor can safely scout ahead, and the job of reporting what it finds falls to it naturally.
Gallimimus — Gallimimus also runs light, with nothing but itself. They get moving at the same speed, and from all the things Gallimimus finds here and there, Velociraptor can pick one target and turn it into something right away.
Spinosaurus — Spinosaurus raises its big sail and waits patiently by the water for its chance. Velociraptor wants to move right away and handle things on its own, while Spinosaurus prefers to settle in and wait. Even with the same target, they differ in how soon they start and how they present themselves, so their plans easily cross.
