Sea Creature Quiz
Jellyfish
With your see-through body you drift where the current takes you, quietly waiting for whatever comes near.
Jellyfish are creatures whose bodies are almost entirely water. They swim by squeezing and opening their bells, but they aren't strong swimmers, and most live drifting on the ocean currents. Their bodies are see-through, and many kinds are hard to spot in the water.
A jellyfish's tentacles are lined with countless tiny stingers. It drifts with its tentacles spread, and when a small creature floating by touches them, it catches and eats it. You let the current carry you far, and rather than chasing anything, you take in whatever comes your way.
Because you're so good at going with the flow, you can hesitate when it's up to you to choose where to go. Before you set out, pick just one place you want to get to, and even while drifting, your direction becomes clear.
Strengths
- You can go along with the flow around you without straining
- You can wait for others to come to you without rushing them
- Wherever you go, you can fit right in
Where you may stumble
- When it's time to choose where to go, you tend to leave it to others
- Because you don't reach out, there are more and more people you only see when they invite you
- Going with the flow, you find you've ended up a long way from your original plan
Sounds familiar, Jellyfish?
- In the bath, you float there half-submerged and zone out for a good while
- You said “Anywhere's fine,” and then you're the one enjoying the place the most
- You doze off on the train and wake up past your stop
Where you shine
Days when you move along with a big crowd, sitting and really taking in what someone has to say, and trips with no set destination.
Tips for “Jellyfish”
- Before you head out, choose one place you want to go yourself
- With someone you'd like to see, reach out yourself once, without waiting
- At the end of a day spent going with the flow, look back at how far you've come

Octopus — The Octopus also stays hidden and changes its form to match its surroundings. For the drifting Jellyfish, the Octopus holding its place in the rocks is someone who understands, without needing words, that same feeling of quietly waiting for the moment.
Squid — The Squid is another creature that travels with the currents of the open sea. For the Jellyfish, who doesn't chase anything, the Squid, flashing signals in color, is the one who reports what lies ahead and lights up where to head next.
Anglerfish — The Anglerfish holds its spot on the seafloor and dangles its fishing rod to draw others in its own way. It points the opposite way from the Jellyfish, who drifts with the current and waits quietly, on every count. To the Jellyfish, the Anglerfish's way of staying planted can feel heavy; to the Anglerfish, the Jellyfish's drifting can seem impossible to pin down.
