Sea Creature Quiz
Clownfish
You live beside your sea anemone in bold colors, switching roles to fit your group.
Clownfish are small fish with white bands on their bodies. They make their homes in sea anemones, which have stinging tentacles, and a coating of mucus on their skin is said to let them live among those tentacles without being stung. They spend their time without straying far from their home anemone.
They swim around their home in their bold colors and may even charge at those who come too close. Among the few that live together, the largest becomes the female, and when she's gone, the next-largest male turns into a female. In a place you know well, you let yourself be seen, and you change roles to suit your group.
Because you don't stray far from home, you can be slow to warm to talk of going somewhere far away. And picking up whatever role has opened up, you may miss the chance to say which role you'd like next. Tell your friends now and then what you'd like to do when things next change, and the change will feel lighter.

Squid — The Squid also shows itself, sends signals and changes color to suit its surroundings. For the Clownfish staying close to home, the Squid roaming the open sea is a fellow show-and-adapt type who brings back new signals from faraway waters.
Octopus — The Octopus, too, keeps a home base and changes its form to match its surroundings. With the Clownfish stepping forward in bold colors and the Octopus hiding among the rocks, the roles of standing out front and watching from the shadows split naturally.
Shark — The Shark roams the open sea unnoticed, sticking to a way of swimming its kind has kept for ages. From the point of view of the Clownfish, who shows itself near home and even switches roles to fit its group, it's hard to tell where the Shark is headed or what it's thinking — and to the Shark, the Clownfish's changes can look hectic.
