Dinosaur Quiz
Pachycephalosaurus
Like a Pachycephalosaurus with its thick domed head on show, you leap lightly into whatever catches your interest.
Pachycephalosaurus was a dinosaur that lived in what is now North America at the very end of the Cretaceous. Its name means “thick-headed lizard,” and the bone on top of its head rose into a dome more than 20 centimeters (8 inches) thick, ringed with knobs and spikes.
Most of its fossils are pieces of this sturdy skull. It's thought to have walked on two legs, but no full skeleton has been found, so exactly what it looked like is still unclear. Its teeth were small and leaf-shaped, and one theory is that it ate mainly plants along with various other things. You, too, reach out a little toward lots of different things.
There are several theories about the dome: that they butted heads with each other, that they shoved each other's flanks, or that it was for display. You dive headfirst into what interests you and turn it into something people can see. With all that momentum, the things you've started quietly multiply. Every now and then, try choosing again which ones to keep going.

Gallimimus — Gallimimus also nimbly samples all sorts of things. Both can head straight for whatever catches their interest, so going out together means even the detours are fun. Unadorned Gallimimus is always happy to take a casual look at whatever Pachycephalosaurus wants to show off.
Triceratops — Triceratops also had a striking ornament around its head and ate plants, and fossils of both have been found in North American rock layers from the same period. Steady Triceratops settles in and listens to Pachycephalosaurus, who tends to dive into things.
Tyrannosaurus — Tyrannosaurus settles in on one target and doesn't dress things up. Pachycephalosaurus dives headfirst into all kinds of things and loves to show them off, so the two are opposites in both speed and presentation, and each can be thrown by the other's way of doing things.
