Night Sky Quiz

Saturn

Keeping your light modest, you wander between the constellations with your companions in tow.

Quietly shiningOn the moveSide by side with others

Saturn is one of the planets that circle the Sun. To the naked eye it looks like a calm, yellowish light, and it rarely twinkles the way stars do; it simply glows quietly. Through a telescope, you can see the rings around it.

The word “planet” comes from a Greek word for “wanderer.” While the stars of the constellations keep the same arrangement, the planets move between them. Saturn, too, doesn't stay in one constellation; it drifts on from one to the next.

And Saturn doesn't travel alone. Its rings are made of countless pieces of ice and rock, and many moons circle it as well. In the same way, you quietly make the rounds of all sorts of places, with your people alongside. When you're handed a role where you have to stand out alone, though, you may find yourself looking around for familiar faces.

Strengths

  • You can invite friends along and head somewhere new together
  • Even in the middle of a group, you never come across as pushy
  • You naturally fall into step with people you meet along the way

Where you may stumble

  • When asked to stand up front alone, you're unsure how to carry yourself
  • When someone wants you to settle on one destination, you can't let go of the other options
  • As you keep inviting friends, the group grows and the plan won't come together

Sounds familiar, Saturn?

Where you shine

Going a little further afield with friends, plans that take in several places, and moments when people need gathering without fuss.

Easy together

Moon — Saturn takes a little over two years to pass through a single constellation. In that time, the Moon passes close by every month, each time with a different shape of light to show you.

Easy together

Pleiades — You both shine modestly and alongside others. Neither of you is too loud, so you can stay together quietly for a long time.

May clash

Sirius — Saturn wanders between the constellations as it pleases, companions in tow. Sirius shines strongly and alone from a fixed spot. You move differently and stand with others differently, so even in the same sky, your steps rarely match.
