Animals that take it easy, together
Whale
With your pod you cast a great net of bubbles, and your unhurried song carries across the ocean.
Humpback whales sometimes circle below a school of fish in a group, blowing bubbles that form a net to trap the fish before they feed. The males sing long songs, which spread to other whales in the same ocean and change little by little from year to year.
You probably love joining forces with others to do something big. Rather than hurrying through something small, you want to take your time and turn it into something grand that brings everyone in. You don't rush because you're waiting for everyone to be on board.
Whales are also the ones that launch their whole huge bodies out of the water. You have both boldness and an easygoing calm, and what you want to say, you say clearly, in a voice that reaches friends far away.
Strengths
- You can carry a big group plan all the way through without shrinking it
- You can say what you think clearly, in words that reach far
- Even if things wobble partway through, you can calmly set the whole thing right
Where you may stumble
- As the idea grows bigger, the detailed preparation can't keep up
- While you're taking it easy, the agreed date creeps closer
- Since your voice carries so far, a casual remark can land heavier than you meant
Sounds familiar, Whale?
- With “If we're doing it, let's get everyone in on it,” you keep making the idea bigger
- When the talk turns to something you love, your gestures get bigger without you noticing
- Even surrounded by people in a rush, you're somehow the only one who's calm
Where you shine
Events that combine many people's efforts, or group projects built up over time. You're the one who sets the overall direction and brings everyone's voices together into one song.
