Late-Autumn Sunshine

Like a warm, sunny day just before winter, you're someone people relax around.

Bright and livelyAlways the sameGentle

In Japanese this weather is called koharu-biyori, literally “little spring weather” — but it isn't spring at all. It means a calm, warm, sunny day in late autumn or early winter; “koharu” was an old name for the tenth month of the traditional calendar. It's the soft sunshine that drops in just as the cold is setting in.

You probably deal with people the same way: bright, but never pushy, with just the right warmth. Your moods don't swing much, and you're the same calm self whenever people see you, so you're often the first person they turn to when they're tired.

On the other hand, this kind of day doesn't stir up strong winds. Even when a clear “no” would be better, you tend to choose keeping the room warm. Saying no isn't the same as clouding over the sunshine.

Strengths

  • A smile and a word from you can loosen up a tense room
  • You can hear someone out to the end without rushing them
  • Your mood stays level, so you respond the same way whenever you're asked

Where you may stumble

  • You take on requests you'd rather turn down, to protect the mood
  • When something has to be decided fast, you tend to get left behind
  • You tuck your own complaints away behind a sunny face

Sounds familiar, Late-Autumn Sunshine?

Where you shine
