Japanese Color Quiz
Seiji (Celadon Green)
Like the pale blue-green of a celadon bowl, you take people in coolly and quietly.
Seiji is the soft, pale blue-green of celadon, a kind of pottery. Celadon is fired at a high temperature under a glaze containing a trace of iron; it developed in China and reached Japan long ago, where it has been treasured ever since. It has no showy painted designs — it shows itself through color and shape alone.
You, too, keep a cool distance from people and protect your own pace in quiet places. Rather than pushing your views hard, you take what people say as it is and answer in words that won't ruffle anyone. Just as a bowl doesn't choose what goes into it, you first take in any conversation quietly.
Some celadon has a fine pattern of crackles in its surface, called kannyu, which is admired as one of its charms. You, too, can get along with people without smoothing every little snag away. But because you're quiet, a day with someone can end before you've brought up what you wanted to talk about.

Ai (Indigo) — Ai steadily keeps to what it has decided, in quiet settings. It may not say much, but its direction is clear, so Seiji can follow along with peace of mind, without needing to ask a lot of questions.
Akane (Madder Red) — Akane is warm in quiet settings and says clearly what it feels. Seiji tends to be the listener, and Akane draws it out with “What do you think?”
Sakura (Pale Cherry Pink) — Sakura wants to gather people and warm things up. To Seiji, who wants to keep a comfortable distance in quiet places, the steady stream of lively invitations can weigh more heavily each time it has to say no.
